Report From Team Pittsburgh: Grapevine Distress
Breaking news: we have just heard of a possible setback for Team Pittsburgh, in the Knitting Olympics. Tonight, in the previously planned Two or Three Hours of Knitting After Dinner with the Visiting Scholar Event, crucial to the success of Team Pittsburgh, team member Anne Brannen, veteran knitter of several Starmore sweaters, including the elusive and coveted "Roineval," discovered, to her grief and sorrow, that she had left her Knitting Olympics project, Starmore's "Grapevine," in her office, and therefore will lose several hours work, in a difficult time challenge.
Led sobbing from the sofa, she was heard to say, "I'll be back in the event tomorrow! I'm not letting this stop me!"
The next chance for an intensive space of time spent on "Grapevine" will be Wednesday, after her observation of a colleague's class, and the reading of several sets of essays.
Dr. Brannen's coach could not be reached for comment, as he was watching "24," and several things had just blown up and the president's wife was distraught.
