Montour #8: Update
To our GREAT delight, the borough has decided to shore up Montour #8; work should start in a couple of weeks, and take about 2 months altogether. We're told.
Turns out that Montour #8 has caused 5 mine subsidence incidents (I love this terminology; plan to use it whenever possible) in the last 4 years, so now we're going to pump it all full of something.
We would SO like to know what this is. Concrete? Silly Putty? Super Glue? Foam pellets?
Anyway -- maybe Bear's Retreat will make it through, without actually falling into Montour #8. Though if it did, definitely I could blog that.
