Knitting Olympics: Oh, All Right.

Those of you who are REALLY alert will have noticed that this is no longer a knitting blog, if indeed it ever was. It is some other thing, which is why I gracefully left the Knitting Blog Ring some time ago.

However. Its author still knits.

And, now that its author has noticed The Yarn Harlot's Knitting Olympics, its author is in.

Though, to be honest, its author is not officially on the programme yet on account of its author hasn't figured out what to do.

The deal is, competitors must cast on a project during the start of the Winter Olympics, and finish the project (including blocking, if needed) before the Olympics are over.

And -- and here's my issue -- the project must be one which challenges its creator. This is nicely fair -- it means that new knitters can compete.

However. Now I have to figure out what a challenge would be. Something I've never done before, I guess. Entrelac? That's the only thing I can think of I haven't actually attempted yet.

Hmmm....

Anyway. Yo! Pittsburgh knitters, especially those of you who were hanging around last night at Blogfest 5! (Which would be you, and you, and you, and you...did I miss anybody?) And all the rest of you, on the PIttsburgh Knitting Ring! We need a Pittsburgh team, clearly! Let's get started.

We're allowed to swatch before the Olympics begin, by the way, cause Stephanie considers that "training."
