Let's Organize Some Links This Morning

Abbie the Cat has now figured out how to put pictures on his blog. Of course, his pictures are about as clear as his writing -- but that's the fun of it. If you're new to Abbie the Cat and all his cohorts, go on over and enjoy him. And then, if you're still feeling like hearing from cats, check out "Cat Town," the online cat soap opera written by the same guy who keeps Abbie's blog. I myself am especially fond of the Cat Town Tribute to Jerry Orbach.

All Cthulhu, all the time: Those of you who, now wearing your Cthulhu wristbands, wish to noisily spread more Cthulhu cheer can learn the Cthulhu solstice carols, and then go singing them to people. Please do not come by my office singing them, oh beloved graduate students! Inflict them elsewhere. (Dr. Watkins, for instance; maybe he wants to hear some. Yeah. That'll be good.)

And last thing, this morning, a silly quiz after my medievalist's heart: it's called "What Temperament Are You," but really it slots you into one of the four humors. I'm SO unsurprised by mine:

You Have a Melancholic Temperament
Introspective and reflective, you think about everything and anything. You are a soft-hearted daydreamer. You long for your ideal life. You love silence and solitude. Everyday life is usually too chaotic for you.
Given enough time alone, it's easy for you to find inner peace. You tend to be spiritual, having found your own meaning of life.Wise and patient, you can help people through difficult times.
At your worst, you brood and sulk. Your negative thoughts can trap you.You are reserved and withdrawn. This makes it hard to connect to others. You tend to over think small things, making decisions difficult.
