Pittsburgh Blogfest! January 19!
First, before I actually announce the Blogfest that everybody else already announced but I thought I'd wait till later so we spaced the announcements out, hence you're hearing it from me now --
The Pittsburgh Bloggers website is now up and running, thanks in largest part to Mike of Grabass, with help from Cindy of My Brilliant Mistakes, Vanessa and Christina of Inner Bitch, and also me, though mostly my help consists of replying to Mike's emails with responses of "me too!" If you're blogging in or around Pittsburgh, and you're not on the list, sign up! There are 150 blogs on the list so far. (And if you've been wondering what happened to my long Pittsburgh Blogroll, which has, as you see, disappeared from the sidebar, well that's where it went. Some of the Pittsburgh blogs got moved into the "Text" roll -- the others are over at the Pittsburgh Bloggers site. I was keeping that roll precisely for that purpose, waiting till we could get a site up and running that would bring them all together.)
Those of us who attended enjoyed our last Pittsburgh Blogfest so much that we vowed to do it again (or, at least, if we were attending it and we hated it we haven't told the rest of us), so we ARE doing it again! Please come! If it's anything like last time, there will be laughing, talking, some desultory knitting, some moving around of seats, Mad Tea Party style, so as to facilitate mixing, and ordering of drinks and food. I just loved the last one. Also, I approve of the venue, which is SO easy to find even I didn't get lost getting there, and since it's located under a parking garage, has parking close by. Lots.
