Knitted Pinatas and Blogging Shirts

So I go to visit the Empire State Building, cause there it is, and here I am, and you don't really know how long the lines are going to be till you stand in them, and then after all that it's worth it, really -- very good view --

Anyway, as I say, I go off for not more than about two minutes, and Amber knits a pinata.

Way too inventive, that Amber. And she has to start in on In Search of Lost Time pretty soon, too, as it's all her fault I'm dragging it to England. No more knitted pinatas for you then, missy! I want to see some serious Proust.

Weather's holding out.

Food's still great. Well, except for that cherry-dipped scary thing. My idea of a neighborhood is the one where you can walk across the street and get smoked turkey and brie sandwiches with honey mustard. Not that I need that exact sandwich, you understand. I just like it that somebody thought it up and put it on sale.

Still getting onto the net through the campus ethernet -- so it's just like being at work, really. Lightning fast connection that Somebody Else Paid For.

Or, I did, only I didn't notice.

Main thing I'm concerned about now is when is it best that I wear my new "I'm Blogging This" t-shirt? I'm trying to figure out my best opportunity. Jogging in Central Park? Examining Byzantine art at the Museum? Talking to all of Sam's classmates at the 1959 Columbia College luncheon?* I dunno.

If you want to buy one of these t-shirts, I'm telling you, mine got to me Very Quickly. (Yay, Christina!)

More later. I believe I'm scheduled to go to a fancy dinner.

*I like seeing all the signs for the 1959 reunion. I'm not sure, however, that it's the finest bestest piece of me that thinks "I was 4" every time she sees them.**

**Especially since she's wrong and I was 5.
