Importing Operas

I was gone for a while, wasn't I? But I'm back now. The birthday hoopla lasted for about a week, and kept me very busy. And very delightful it was, up until yesterday and the day before, which involved the Very Special Turning 50 Birthday Present of the medical screening test from hell, for which one has to prepare oneself in dreadful fashion and then be dreadfully humiliated, though, luckily, whilst under anasthesia, so that all the information about the episode is stored not in the conscious mind but someplace else, where it can torment one in nightmares for the rest of one's life.

But that's not really what took up all my time and kept me from the blog.

Nope. It was the iPod. That's where I was.

It took a while to get all this music loaded. The reason it doesn't look like we have as much music in the house as we do reading material is only that the music is kept in smaller formats. I should change my blog motto, apparently.

But I'm gone for a bit, and I come back and there's Rachael with a new name and logo, and Skot with an entertaining precis of the entire life span of NYPD Blue, and the girls over at Who Would Buy That? with an eBay auction involving a loong but Very Meaningful story about the Real Ken and Barbie. Sorry, y'all, the auction's over -- but the story's worth reading, while it's still up.

Now. Back to importing operas.....
